LJ Cleary sidelined following surgery announcement

Independent wrestler LJ Cleary revealed that he has been diagnosed with an injury that will require surgery and is expected to keep him out of action for nine to twelve months. Cleary did not disclose the specific injury in his post.

The 27-year-old wrote that the timing is particularly difficult because he was enjoying the strongest stretch of his career and had notable plans in motion. He thanked fans and supporters, describing the setback as a minor detour in his life and promising to return.

Cleary has been an active presence across the independent scene since his 2014 debut. In recent months he appeared in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at TNA's Bound for Glory event. Over the past year he worked several matches for Ring of Honor and was a regular for Pro Wrestling NOAH from 2023 through 2025.

The announcement came via Cleary's social post; no promotion or medical source was cited confirming further details. At this time there is no public timetable beyond the 9–12 month estimate he provided.

We will update coverage if additional information becomes available from Cleary, his representatives, or promotions where he is scheduled to appear.
