Chad Gable Scores Pinfall Over CM Punk at Road to Survivor Series House Show
At the Road to Survivor Series live event in Youngstown on Oct. 29, 2026, Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable picked up a surprise pinfall over CM Punk. Footage of the finish circulated on social media and Punk acknowledged the win in the ring afterward.
CM Punk was pinned by Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable at WWE's Road to Survivor Series live event at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio on October 29, 2026. The result, which took place in the penultimate match of the evening, was captured in footage that later surfaced on social media.
The finish came after a high-impact sequence in the closing moments. Punk landed a top-rope hurricanrana on Gable, then the two exchanged a rapid series of rollups and counter-rolls. In the final exchange, the reigning Intercontinental Champion reversed the last pin attempt and scored the very short — and surprising — pinfall over the former Undisputed WWE Champion. After the match, Punk raised Gable's arm in the center of the ring.
Punk is scheduled to face Kevin Owens in a one-on-one match on the November 6 episode of WWE SmackDown.
