Ric Flair announced via social media on Wednesday that he will require further medical treatment after suffering facial injuries in a fall in Florida last week. Flair shared a photo with medical staff at the USF Health Eye Institute and outlined the procedures he expects to undergo.

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Flair said he faces one more surgery and possibly a skin graft before he will be "good to go," and he thanked the USF Health Eye Institute for their care.

According to a TMZ report, the incident occurred Oct. 23. TMZ said Flair was sitting at a bar, left to walk across the street and then fell, striking his face. The outlet reported that Flair's eye was bleeding extensively and that he also sustained a cut to his head. TMZ published photographs showing medical personnel treating Flair on the street.

Flair also posted that he was treated at Florida General Hospital after the fall and remained there until about 4:30 a.m. before being discharged, according to his social update the prior weekend.

The update represents the latest confirmation from Flair about the scope of his injuries and his planned care. He named the USF Health Eye Institute in his social message and shared the image of himself with doctors and staff at that facility.

We will monitor for any further announcements from Flair or medical providers about the timing of the planned procedures and any impact on his public appearances.
