Lil Yachty Says He Could Leave Music if WWE Becomes a Full-Time Job
Lil Yachty told Complex News he wants to pursue WWE full time and said he could stop releasing music if his wrestling run pays off.

Lil Yachty told Complex News that he would consider leaving music behind if his WWE venture becomes a full-time career. The rapper — who has been appearing alongside Trick Williams on WWE television — said he’s drawn to the discipline and structure of professional wrestling and is aiming to make the transition permanent.
Yachty contrasted the creative leeway of recording with the regimented, time-sensitive nature of WWE television, saying performers must maximize short on-screen windows and meet production demands. He told Complex News he is pursuing a full-time role with WWE and suggested that, should he climb the company ranks and reach the financial goals he wants, he would stop releasing albums and focus fully on in-ring work.
Fans saw Yachty’s most prominent appearance on WWE Sunday Night's Main Event on September 6, when he participated in a five-minute challenge against Baron Corbin that helped Trick Williams earn a United States Championship opportunity later that night. On the September 11 episode of SmackDown, Corbin attacked Yachty; WrestleZone notes the rapper has not appeared on WWE television since that assault.
Yachty also told Complex News he enjoys the physical side of the business and said he is prepared to take high-impact risks in the ring until his body no longer allows it.
This development was first reported by WrestleZone, which summarized Yachty’s Complex News interview and recent WWE appearances. No formal WWE signing or long-term placement has been announced.
