Kris Statlander Steps in for Marina Shafir, Teams with Jon Moxley at Warrior Wrestling
Marina Shafir was unable to appear at Warrior Wrestling on Oct. 31, 2026; Jon Moxley brought Kris Statlander into the match and the pair hit the Death Riders lariats as the Death Riders’ program continues to heat up.
Jon Moxley was scheduled to team with Marina Shafir at Warrior Wrestling, but Shafir was unable to make the show. As the announced tag match was starting, Moxley introduced Kris Statlander as his replacement; Statlander teamed with Moxley against Lance Archer and Tootie Lynn.
During the match Statlander and Moxley recreated a Death Riders moment, executing the Death Riders' lariats into the corner together — a visual associated with the group.
F4WOnline reported this appearance comes amid a larger storyline involving a new faction called The Cut, said to combine members of the Dogs and the Bang Bang Gang. The report added that Jay White has targeted Moxley and his AEW Continental Championship.
Following a brawl on a recent Dynamite, the report said Moxley issued a challenge for an Anarchy in the Arena match at Full Gear on November 14.
F4WOnline also noted that Marina Shafir has been pursuing the AEW Women’s Championship and has challenged Mercedes Mone after a series of confrontations.
Statlander's entrance was made on the show itself as the teams squared off. F4WOnline did not include a match result or further booking confirmations.
Context
The substitution highlights how AEW performers sometimes appear on independent cards and how ongoing AEW storylines — including the Death Riders angle and the emergence of The Cut — are spilling into outside appearances. The reported Full Gear challenge and Shafir’s pursuit of Mercedes Mone were detailed in the same F4WOnline report.
