WWE Main Event gains new profile after move to Rumble
WWE’s Main Event moved from a YouTube exclusive to Rumble on October 14, 2026, returning to an hour-long format and increasingly carrying storyline relevance for Raw and SmackDown talent.

WWE Main Event moved from YouTube to the streaming platform Rumble on October 14, 2026, returning to an hour-long format and making full episodes exclusive to the new host while highlights continue to appear on YouTube.
Launched in October 2012, Main Event has traditionally presented pre-taped matches filmed before Raw and SmackDown and usually featured lower-card talent. WrestleTalk reports that the Rumble move gives the program a fresh home and a chance to play a larger role in WWE’s weekly landscape.
Recent editions have done more than showcase mid-card action: WrestleTalk highlights backstage segments and promos on Main Event that advance main-roster storylines. The site cites moments where Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab declared they would "run SmackDown," showing how the show can push angles that tie back to Raw and SmackDown while remaining a secondary program.
The October 28 episode illustrated that shift, with in-ring appearances by JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, Bronson Reed (Logan Paul was present but did not compete), Joe Hendry, Damian Priest and The Miz & Kit Wilson, alongside segments featuring Los Americanos and others. WrestleTalk also notes Los Americanos have not been seen on Raw since May and have spent much recent time in AAA.
Title changes on Main Event remain unlikely, but WrestleTalk suggests the potential for champions or other big names to appear adds intrigue. The show can also act as a low-risk testing ground for new feuds, factions or tag teams — an area WWE has comparatively few options in, especially in the women's tag ranks.
Early viewing numbers cited by WrestleTalk indicate the Rumble move is drawing viewers: the most recent full episode on Rumble had about 446,000 views, with the Los Americanos vs. Judgment Day highlights at roughly 7,200 on Rumble and 49,000 on YouTube.
