Oba Femi linked to possible paths to a World Heavyweight title shot before WrestleMania 43

WrestleTalk reports Oba Femi is being lined up as a potential challenger to Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 43. The outlet notes Femi has been largely absent from WWE television in recent weeks following his win over Bronson Reed at WWE Crown Jewel 2026.

The site suggested several plausible ways WWE could build Femi toward a marquee match at the Showcase of the Immortals. None of the scenarios below has been confirmed by WWE; they are presented by WrestleTalk as possible booking options.

• Enter and win the John Cena Classic: WrestleTalk points to the new fan-voted John Cena Classic announced at Backlash 2026 as a high-profile tournament that could give Femi momentum. The outlet suggested his popularity would make him a strong candidate to win.
• Rematch with Bron Breakker: The report recalls a DQ finish between Femi and Breakker on Sunday Night's Main Event that featured interference from the returning Bronson Reed. After Femi later defeated Reed at Money In The Bank 2026 and indicated he was done with Reed, WrestleTalk says the unresolved thread with Breakker could be revisited.
• Program with a Bloodline member such as Jacob Fatu: After Femi beat Jey Uso in the King of the Ring final at Night of Champions 2026, the site floated the idea of Femi clashing with other members of The Bloodline. A match with Jacob Fatu was offered as an example of a high‑impact heavyweight matchup.
• Win the Men's Royal Rumble: WrestleTalk also suggested Femi could enter the 2027 Royal Rumble. Following his breakout showing in the 2026 Rumble and a strong 2026 run, the outlet argued he would be a logical favourite to win and secure a title shot.

These are WrestleTalk's projections for how WWE might position Oba Femi before WrestleMania 43; WWE has not publicly confirmed any specific plans.
