Blake Monroe told Busted Open Radio this week that waiting roughly five months for her WWE SmackDown debut was a frustrating stretch that prompted moments of self-doubt. She said she kept pitching ideas, training and showing up every week until she earned a spot on the show.

Monroe described the wait as a test of patience, noting the WWE machine has many moving parts and plans can shift from week to week. She acknowledged comparing herself to others and wondering why opportunities weren’t coming sooner, but said persistence and readiness paid off.

Monroe, who spent two years with AEW, made her NXT debut in June 2025 and WWE ran a teaser vignette in April to tease her main roster arrival. Her first televised SmackDown in-ring match was on the October 2 episode, where she faced Giulia, and she followed that with a Street Fight the next week, picking up a victory.

She told Busted Open Radio that the downtime allowed her to refine her character and remain prepared, and that the experience reminded her timing matters — keep working, keep pitching ideas, and be ready when the chance comes.
