Rusev says he’s healthy and ready for a WWE TV return
Rusev told TMZ’s Inside the Ring he recovered after a July Raw incident that left his hands numb, has been training and is waiting to return to WWE television.

Rusev says he is fully recovered and is awaiting a return to WWE television, the star told TMZ’s Inside the Ring. The veteran confirmed he experienced numbness in his hands after taking a kick to the head during the July 27 episode of Raw but finished the match and later missed time after an unrelated illness.
Aside from appearing on a couple of WWE house shows in Hawaii this month, Rusev has not been seen regularly on WWE programming since the July Raw match. He told TMZ that he recovered from both the in-ring incident and the subsequent sickness, and that he has been ready to compete for roughly two months.
Rusev said he has been training at his own school in Nashville and has visited the WWE Performance Center as he waits for a call back to television. When asked about online reports linking him to a possible faction with Ethan Page and Big Cass on Raw, Rusev said he had not heard about such plans and dismissed the idea as internet booking, adding that he might be reluctant to be tied to Page after Page reportedly replaced him with Cass.
In a separate personal update earlier this week, Rusev and his wife CJ Perry (formerly Lana) announced they are expecting their first child, a son they say will be named Bear Petrov Barnyashev. Perry is under a WWE Legends contract and has indicated she would be open to appearing on television again if timing and storyline make sense.
F4WOnline reported Rusev’s comments, which were made to TMZ’s Inside the Ring. The wrestler’s timeline and plans for a TV return will depend on WWE’s booking decisions.
