TNA temporarily wrote Jeff Hardy out of television on the October 29 episode of Impact, when The Hardys lost to Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw in a Slaughterhouse Syx match. The segment ended with Hardy shown with a trash can over his head while Sawyer and Shaw struck it with axes.

Fightful reports Hardy is expected to be absent from TNA programming in November. The promotion is scheduled to run Canadian events from November 15–19, and the report says Hardy has difficulty working in Canada because of prior DUI-related legal issues. Matt Hardy is advertised for the November dates while Jeff is not.

Fightful also reports Hardy is being treated for two bulging discs in his neck and is not expected to require surgery. The outlet adds Hardy could return for TNA tapings in El Paso, Texas, in December and is advertised for the December 18–19 tapings. The Hardys are listed to hold a "Hardy Party" event in El Paso on December 16 ahead of those tapings.

The promotion's schedule around the November dates includes:

  • Destination X on November 15 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
  • Tapings in Calgary on November 18–19.
  • El Paso tapings on December 18–19, with a Hardy Party event on December 16.

This article summarizes the on-screen angle used to remove Hardy from the October 29 episode and the reporting by Fightful regarding his planned November absence and neck condition; the reported medical and travel details are attributed to Fightful.
