Ilja Dragunov Eyes Spot in AEW Continental Classic
New AEW signee Ilja Dragunov told AEW Advance he is open to entering AEW's Continental Classic tournament, according to Fightful. He also referenced his past during the discussion.
All Elite Wrestling's newest signee Ilja Dragunov indicated he would be interested in competing in the promotion's upcoming Continental Classic tournament, Fightful reported.
The Continental Classic is an annual AEW tournament, and the company is moving closer to staging the event. Dragunov was asked about the tournament during an appearance on the social media program AEW Advance.
According to Fightful, Dragunov discussed the possibility of entering the tournament while on the show and referenced his past during the conversation; the report did not provide additional specifics about that history.
Fightful's report is the primary source for Dragunov's remarks; AEW has not issued a separate confirmation tying Dragunov to the event. As with any early promotional talk about a tournament field, further confirmation will be needed before matches or official entries are announced.
