The character, commonly called "Gingy," was presented as killed in an on-screen segment involving WWE Champion Sami Zayn on the May 1 edition of SmackDown. A funeral segment the following week was interrupted by Zayn, and Danhausen later gained possession of the character.
On the October 30 episode, Danhausen brought Gingy back as part of the ongoing storyline. Fightful first reported the revival.
Separately, Trick Williams and musician Lil Yachty were shown in a backstage segment on the same episode.
