Dates with records
How we date history
- Every entry is a verified record with linked sources. Summaries are short; follow the links for the full story.
- Dates are the local date where it happened. Taped television shows both dates and appears on both days, labelled "Taped" or "Aired".
- When the exact day isn't established, we say so: month-only records appear under "Also in" that month, and uncertain dates get no exact anniversary count.
- The same moment reported by several sources is one entry, with every source listed.
- February 29 records appear on February 28 in years without a leap day. "Today" follows Toronto time.
