- Unconfirmed
- Reported, but nothing independent of the original report supports it yet.
- Corroborated
- At least one source independent of the original report supports it. Sites repeating the same report don't count.
- Confirmed
- An official announcement or the event itself shows it happened.
- Disputed
- There is credible conflicting evidence, such as a denial. A denial alone doesn't make a claim false.
- Disproven
- An official record or the event outcome contradicts it.
The meter runs Disproven → Disputed → Unconfirmed → Corroborated → Confirmed. It shows the documented status, not a probability. A named editor sets every status from the evidence listed; software, including AI, never decides whether a person is telling the truth. Opinions, vague predictions and duplicates aren't rated.
