WrestleTalk says a John Cena Classic is expected in December and proposes several main roster vs. NXT match ideas that could feature on the card.
WrestleTalk reports a John Cena Classic is expected to take place in December and suggests several main roster vs. NXT matches that could be booked for the event. These ideas are presented as speculation rather than confirmed bookings.
- IYO SKY vs. Kelani Jordan: WrestleTalk cites a backstage altercation involving NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan and IYO SKY tied to Kelani’s October 26 Raw appearance, and says a Classic match could introduce IYO SKY to a wider main roster audience.
- CM Punk vs. Grayson Waller: The site notes Grayson Waller confronted CM Punk after an NXT live event in August 2026 and proposes an NXT Champion vs. main roster veteran program as a possible main event if the Classic runs on the same weekend as WWE’s Perth Wrestlepalooza dates.
- Jacob Fatu vs. Zilla Fatu: WrestleTalk highlights Zilla Fatu’s popularity since returning to NXT in August and suggests a match with Jacob Fatu could test Zilla on a larger stage and tie into Bloodline-related storytelling without Roman Reigns competing.
- Rhea Ripley vs. Zaria: The outlet recalls a backstage segment between Rhea Ripley and fellow Australian Zaria on the October 29, 2024 episode of NXT and says a Ripley–Zaria clash would be a notable local-interest match should the Classic take place in Perth.
None of the matchups listed by WrestleTalk are confirmed by WWE; they are presented as possible ideas linked to John Cena’s reported December event and his upcoming TV appearances.
