Tony D'Angelo predicts Shiloh Hill will become NXT's next top star
On the Battleground Podcast, Tony D'Angelo named Shiloh Hill a future top star in NXT, praising his character work, size and athleticism while noting the roster now includes several credible threats.
Tony D'Angelo told the Battleground Podcast that Shiloh Hill is a name to watch in NXT and predicted the young performer could rise to the top of the brand. D'Angelo pointed to Hill's mix of character work, physical size and surprising athleticism as reasons he believes Hill has strong potential.
He said Hill has begun to turn heads and, while still learning, is a talented performer who could become a leading figure on the show down the road.
D'Angelo also reflected on how the NXT landscape has shifted. He admitted he had grown comfortable at the top because he didn't feel threatened by most of the roster, but said that has changed with experienced names added or returning, specifically mentioning Cruz Montana, Grayson Waller, Zilla Fatu and Mason Rook.
With the roster tightening, D'Angelo said he'll be more aware and better prepared. He is scheduled to defend the NXT Championship against Grayson Waller at Halloween Havoc on October 31, the same event where Shiloh Hill is booked to face Naraku in a singles match.
