Queen Aminata captures TBS Title on Fright Night Dynamite

Queen Aminata won the AEW TBS Championship in the main event of Wednesday's Fright Night Dynamite, pinning Persephone to claim her first AEW singles title.

The finish came after outside interference from Britt Baker, who struck Aminata with the title belt. Aminata still managed to kick out following a moonsault by Persephone. Aminata then hit a headbutt and finished with the running Off With Her Head kick to secure the pinfall. She was emotional after the match and was joined in the ring by several women from the locker room as confetti fell to close the show.

This marks Aminata's first AEW championship and makes her the tenth TBS Champion in AEW history. The win ends Persephone's 60-day reign, which included four successful title defenses.

The source notes this was Aminata's fifth challenge for the TBS title dating back nearly two years; she had previously come up short in high-profile singles opportunities, including matches against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena at 2024's Death Before Dishonor and AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Mone at this month’s Grand Slam Paris.
