Michael Chandler Offers Help to Robert Stone Ahead of NXT Unsanctioned Match

UFC star Michael Chandler has reached out to NXT General Manager Robert Stone and offered to assist at the November 4 NXT program, WrestleZone reports. Chandler posted a message to Stone on Instagram ahead of the episode, suggesting he could be called on to help keep order during an unsanctioned match between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox.

Stone responded on X, indicating interest and proposing they talk, which has fueled speculation that Chandler could appear on the Wednesday NXT broadcast. Neither WWE nor Chandler have confirmed any on-screen role; the report frames the exchange as an offer and a response rather than a booking announcement.

The potential crossover is consistent with Chandler’s past interaction with WWE. He trained at the WWE Performance Center this summer, has publicly discussed a desire to work in pro wrestling, and previously appeared on an episode of WWE Raw in 2024. Chandler is currently active in UFC competition, fighting in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions.

Corporate logistics would not necessarily block a crossover: WWE and UFC are under the same parent company, TKO Group Holdings, and the companies have occasionally coordinated appearances since the merger. Exactly what role Chandler might play — special guest referee, enforcer or other — has not been confirmed.

The November 4 edition of NXT will air on Wednesday instead of its normal Tuesday slot to avoid competing with United States midterm election coverage. That scheduling change sets NXT opposite AEW Dynamite’s Blood & Guts special on the same night, adding context to why a high-profile crossover would draw extra attention.

WrestleZone is the source of the report; this item should be treated as a rumor until WWE or Chandler issue an official confirmation.
