Most Valuable Promotions announced Jake Paul will return to the ring on Dec. 24 in Dubai; the opponent and broadcaster for the event have not been confirmed.

Erich Richter of the New York Post reported the Christmas Eve event is not expected to stream on Netflix, linking the potential change to recent leadership moves at the streamer. The Post noted Netflix removed Bela Bajaria from the chief content officer role earlier this month, and Richter suggested the move could indicate a shift in the company’s approach to live sports.

Two of Paul’s last three fights were on Netflix, including his bout with Mike Tyson and his most recent fight against Anthony Joshua, during which Joshua suffered a broken jaw. Before those Netflix shows, Paul’s prior fights were distributed via DAZN pay-per-view; Richter wrote a return to DAZN PPV is one possible outcome for the Dubai card.

The New York Post also reported speculation about potential opponents, saying MVP have held talks with Chris Eubank and Edgar Berlanga, and that former UFC fighter Darren Till and YouTuber KSI have been mentioned. Those names and any broadcast plans remain unconfirmed.

The only confirmed detail at this time is the date and location: a Dec. 24 fight in Dubai promoted by Most Valuable Promotions. Promoter or platform confirmations and an opponent announcement may follow in the coming weeks.
