AEW teases Toni Storm return; in-ring comeback reportedly not imminent
AEW aired vignettes teasing a return for “Timeless” Toni Storm at WrestleDream, but Fightful Select reports the company does not expect her in-ring return to be immediate.
AEW ran cryptic video packages at WrestleDream that referenced the "Timeless" Toni Storm character, signalling the company has plans involving the former world champion.
Fightful Select reported that, after the WrestleDream vignettes, AEW sources indicated Storm’s in-ring return is not expected to be imminent, though the promotion could introduce other creative elements involving her. That report was picked up by F4WOnline.
Storm’s last on-screen AEW appearance was March 18, 2026, when she was shown bloodied backstage. Her most recent match was a win over Marina Shafir at AEW Revolution 2026.
AEW president Tony Khan addressed Storm’s absence at the WrestleDream media scrum, noting the promotion has felt her absence, praising the strength of the women’s division in her absence and saying he expects Storm to return at some point. Khan did not provide a timeline or location for any comeback.
In summary, AEW has begun planting narrative seeds for Toni Storm’s return; reporting from Fightful Select and coverage by F4WOnline advise fans not to expect an immediate return to in-ring competition.
