Elayna Black Details Life-Threatening Ectopic Pregnancy, Knee Surgery and Personal Losses Ahead of WWE Release
TNA's Elayna Black told the Immersed documentary she required emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, underwent knee surgery after a January 2024 injury, and endured personal losses before her May 2025 WWE release.

TNA wrestler Elayna Black described in the latest episode of Immersed — a series co-produced by TNA and Fight Network — a string of medical and personal crises that preceded her departure from WWE in May 2025.
Black said she required emergency surgery after suffering an ectopic pregnancy that caused heavy internal bleeding and called the condition life-threatening. She said the aftermath left her severely depressed and reliant on close family support, with her mother moving in to help during her recovery.
In addition to the ectopic pregnancy, Black recounted a major knee injury sustained on January 12, 2024, during a live event against Lyra Valkyria. She said the damage required surgery and involved tears to her ACL, MCL and both menisci.
Black told Immersed that the medical setbacks were compounded by other personal losses: a breakup and the death of her dog. The combination, she said, left her feeling as if she had lost everything by the time WWE released her in May 2025.
The episode includes perspectives from Black's mother and fellow TNA performer Mustafa Ali and traces her path from those low points back to wrestling activity with TNA as part of her recovery and return to the ring.
WrestleZone transcribed the Immersed episode; the series explores the personal and professional journeys of wrestling figures and is co-produced by TNA and Fight Network.
